can't get my laminate floor to get a tight fit what should I do?

It’s supposed to snap with a tight fit but when I put it in its still like a 2mm gap. I tried to tap with a tapping block and a rubber mallet but no matter how hard I hit it still does nothing. What can I do to get a seamless fit?

Also I’m putting it in my kitchen, should I glue the planks to each other to keep water from sinking through?

Thank you all! I have followed the instructions very close and I know I’m doing it right because one out of like 10 actually fit right with no problem. I think I’m going to do like LIORIO1 said and return them and get another brand.

Go back to the place of purchase, and enquire if you are doing something wrong. Odds are you are not doing anything wrong, assuming you follow directions. It could be a bad production run or an inferior product. Good quality laminates like the pergo brand are guaranteed.
