should guys worry about VPL?

I do. Sometimes I wear thin pants (like capri pants) and shorts that are not too too tight, but are not loose. When I wear white you can tell what undies I have on, so I try to stick with thongs so as not to worry about VPL. A girl friend of mine says this is "gay" and that guys shouldn't worry about VPL. But I prefer to not show off my undies. Although, under my white capris sometimes you can tell my undies color since I don't own any beige or nude thongs yet. As a guy, should I be worried about VPL.
