How to respray a gretsch catalina club mod red stripe yellow?

i originally wanted the gretsch catalina club with a yellow stripe but every where had sold out in the uk at the time so i had to have the red one it's allright but i reallyy want it yellow .What paint to use and should i use spray paint? and how would i do the snare drum for example where it goes underneath the black parts without getting the black parts yellow? help please

I would not touch any drum set based on what you just said. Spray paint? Really? Those drums were sanded and primed twice before painting and approximately 7 coats of lacquer were sprayed on. Then they were buffed out by a machine. It's basically very similar to how cars are painted. There is no way to change the color without sanding the shell almost all the way down to the wood and re-finishing just like the manufacturer did. If you try to just paint over it, it will look like sh!t and you will have f#cked up a good drum set.

Plus, if your Club Mod is the one that's wrapped in black and red sparkle then it's a wrap to begin with and not a paint job, and painting a wrap makes things even worse.
