Question for rudeboys and rudegirls...how do I "ska-ify" my personal style and school uniform?

For a year or two, I've been very into ska music. Naturally, my style sort of followed suit. It's very...prissy ska, actually. Just some checkerboard, maybe some hair bows or high ponytails.

Now that I've developed a love for the music, I'd like to try dressing the part. How would I do this to my personal style? What is "ska style" really like?

Also, I go to a private school, where we have a uniform of bermuda shorts and a button-down shirt. No ties allowed (unfortunately). Accessories, however, are usually easy to get away with, as are any type of shoes, socks, and hairstyles. What kind of accessories could I use? I've also got pretty long hair. What hairstyles would be good?

im thinking maybe u should add like one or two dreads in ur hair. just to give it an edge. and perhaps alot of hemp bracelets. natural looking makeup is good but with heavy eyeliner.

ska can technically be happy-punk. so just go with some good ol fashioned converse, grungy hair, and a badass attitude. haha. play a Less Than Jake cd and just go with how it makes u feel.
