Folding socks & underwear when you have a large family isn't fun. This is what I did today...?
I am married and have 4 children (3 girls and a boy). When I do laundry I always wait to fold the socks & underwear and typically don't find the time to fold them. We end up digging out of the laundry basket every morning to find what we need. I am very tired of this and implemented something new today. I took a blanket and spread it on the living room floor and dumped the laundry basket in the middle. I made the whole family (including my husband and my 5 year old son) sit around the blanket and dig through the pile to find what belongs to them. They folded them and put them away in their drawers. It ended up being so much fun. We were tossing underwear and socks at each and giggled the whole time. How do you make folding socks & underwear easier for you?
I throw the socks into plastic bins...one for the boys, one for the girls. The kids match their own socks when they go to school. For the younger kids they bring me the "sock bucket" and I find a pair for them.
I dont fold underwear...I lay it flat in their drawers. So thats not a big deal for me.
