Make-Up for a Younger Look

Most women, either career women or real housewives, couldn't just deny the fact that they needed a make-up to make them look as young as possible.

With the right make-up products, women can take years off their face. It's just about enhancing without overdoing and so giving your best features the proper highlights.

And let's not forget the things you'll want to avoid... colors, textures, and techniques that pile on the years!

So read on and learn how make-up can be your age-defying ally.

FACE

Remember that less is always more. The key to youthful-looking skin is natural radiance. the closer you are to being natural, the better. If you are blessed with good skin, all you might need to set your face is loose powder applied with a large blush.

Get the almost-natural look. If your skin is not your best asset, try creamy or sheer products. Consider using a foundation blush for a more expert and even application. invest in a skin primer to smoothen out fine lines, wrinkles and enlarged pores before you apply any corrective foundation. Try a simple glow enhancing moisturizer that adds a subtle pearly luminance to dull skin.

No to super matte of pancake foundation. They flatten your complexion and tend to emphasize lines and wrinkles. For more efficient cover ups, use a concealer on areas of concern. Leave the rest of your face alone.

Add color. Try a light coral powder blush on the apple of your cheeks. Or add dimension to a pale complexion with a light bronzer. It will give your skin a healthy glow. if your going outdoors, use a cream blush instead of a powder blush. The consistency will look more natural against flushed skin.

EYES

Radiance is the key to youthful eyes. Avoid matte and glitter products both emphasize flaws unnecessarily. Go for a satin texture in neutral shades or warm bronzes. The subtle reflections can blur creases and decrease fine lines around the eyelids.

Save the smokey look for the young. When attempting colors like dark blue or gray, do not use it over the whole lid, unless, it's a very light application. Use a matte version instead of eyeliner; it's a softer way to define your eyes. Then lightly spread a pretty shimmery gray across your eyelids and blend upwards.

Instant lift trick. Prepare your tired-looking eyes with an application of anti-puffiness gel around you eye contours to tighten the area. Groom your eyebrow into a subtle arch with a brown crayon and mascara-gel combination.

Add color. Go for a creamy eyeshadow in flattering violet hues. Apply only on the lid and avoid the eye socket line. For softer definition around the eyes, skip the black. Try navy blue or soft eyeliners and a light application of smudge-proof mascara.

LIPS

Dark colors can look harsh. Hints of pretty colors in pearly glosses and fruity shades keep your lips looking young. Dark colors can make you older. Avoid them unless they're available in sheer or glossy finishes that can be applied sparingly.

Extra lip definition. Use a sheer lip liner and soften the edges with a brush. Blend the color inwards so that it can merge invisibly with the gloss or lipstick you apply afterwards.

Nourish and moisturize. Whenever possible, use creamy lipsticks with added moisture. use lip balm at night before sleeping or whenever you feel like your lips are getting tight.

Go crazy with colors. Just remember to opt for glossy and shimmery formats. Try a bronze shimmer over any old lipstick for a more earthy shade, or a berry shade of gloss for a stained look. For a bit of drama at night, use gold gloss all over your lips or a touch of super high gloss.
