Buying Pantyhose Online

So you've decided to buy pantyhose online.  Well, you've made a wise choice.  There is a wide selection of styles, colors, sizes, and types of pantyhose available for purchase on the internet.  Whether you're looking for something that is sexy or something a little more conservative for work, you can easily find it by doing a simple search.  I recommend you read reviews of pantyhose before you buy.  Reviews are especially important when buying a brand that you're not familiar with.   

When buying hosiery, you first must know what type to buy.  Here are three common types of hosiery available:

Stockings - Stockings start at the toes and extend to mid thigh.  They are typically made from a sheer fabric, often nylon but occasionally silk.  Stockings are usually made from an opaque material and are available in a wide selection of colors.  These type of hosiery are often supported by wearing a girdle.

Regular Pantyhose -  Pantyhose start at the toes and extend up to the waist.  They're also made out of sheer fabric but are supported with a feature called a control top.  The control top is also important for allowing women to avoid the visible panty line, which is considered a fashion faux pas.

Tights -  Tights are very similar to pantyhose.  As a matter of fact, the two terms are used interchangeably. Usually hosiery marketed to women over forty is called tights and those marketed to women under 40 are called pantyhose.  As such, tights tend to be more conservative than some types of pantyhose.  They also tend to be opaque in color.

If you know where to shop, you can get some great deals on quality pantyhose.  If you're willing to buy in bulk, you can usually save money over what you would pay at a department store.  So start shopping around and you'll find what you're looking for.
