What is the best seam to use for translucent stretch fabrics?

I've given myself the hardest possible fabric to use for a garment, it is a sheer, translucent, lurex, very stretchy, very delicate, very see through. Now I come to sew it together I feel dubious about my initial plan of using french seams. Does anyone know what kind of seam is best to use in this scenario? Any help would be very much appreciated! x.

You're going to need to try some different seam types. First thing I'd consider would be a plain, narrow 3 thread overlock/serger seam. Then a french seam done with the rolled hem stitch on a serger as the first pass, and a sewing machine with either the straight stitch if stretch in that seam is not required or a "crooked straight stitch". You could also consider a narrow zigzag, with the zags falling off the edge of the fabric, felled or butted seams, and the seaming Kayla Kennington uses:
http://www.kaylakennington.com/sewing_tips.html or roll hem each piece, then butt the edges and use a decorative tack every few inches to produce an "interrupted seam".
