Weekend away, tips on what to wear?

I'm going away with my boyfriend for the first time. We're just going for one night to a hotel about 2 hours away. The thing is, when it comes to nightwear, I want to look nice but I don't want to look as if I'm trying too hard....in other words, I don't want to be wearing flannel pyjamas but at the same time, I think suspenders and a basque would be too much. My initial thought was maybe a nice simple chemise type night dress....there's some lovely ones out there that are satin material with simple patterns. Can you let me know what you think!?
