Stockings or Pantyhose with Red Christmas Dress?

I'm going to a Christmas party and I want some advice on what color hose to wear with my deep dark Red dress. The dress is knee length and what color hose would be best and AQlso should I wear stockings or pantyhose with the dress? Any help would be appreciated. Barbara

I would wear stockings, but I wouldn't get the typically ones. I would wear something like fishnets or even a pair of black ones with a design on the back of them. It will look good with a red dress. Also depending on the dress, I would get a big black belt and put it on the waist. Also get some kind of heel to make your body look longer, but if you are tall get some pointy toe flats. Make the dress stand out, by making it the one major color. Accessories with black, it works trust me!! Now if you want to be more modest, then go with the simple nude color, but i say take a chance!!
