Darkness embraced the world as the sun set below the mountains. The stars, which were very much like sparkling diamonds, glittered ever so slightly in the inky blackness. The ponderous moon looked like a glowing pearl in the distance as it bathed the shrouded planet in a gleaming silver light. The crisp coolness of the night air danced with the crunchy leaves, causing them to swoop in every direction possible. The wispy clouds roamed aimlessly across the dark, star studded sky, covering the moon’s light every once in a while.

I have that so far, but I don't know how to start it off with a woman there... like, as soon as that sentance finished above, I want to move on to a womans presence.... should she be sitting on her bed? Should she be on her balcony? If so, doing what? I am stuck

Perhaps on her balcony enjoying the night. It really depends on what the book is about. For example, if it were about a spy you'd want the woman sneaking around or something.
If it's a romance perhaps it should be on her balcony on sitting on her bed enjoying the scene. The beginning sets the mood of the story so good luck.
