Is it OK to wear a conservative open toe shoe to an interview in 100 degree weather?
Im in california and it is goin to be almost 100 degrees today (interview at 1pm). i have a open toe wedge hill sandal. nothing hoochie. im already wearing a long sleeve shirt and pants or a skirt.
No, sorry. There's nothing wrong with it, as such, but if you want the job, and freak out someone at the interview, you won't get it.
Some people have a thing about bare toes, they can't stand to see them. Why take the chance that they will hate this so much that they don't give you a chance to work? They are likely going to interview lots of people that week, & they need a reason to drop all but one.
Wear the pants & sandals, sure, but put on nylon ankle-length socks for that hour to make a better impression.
