FASHION TIPS? : Tights or Leggings?

Kay, so I have this cute Vestdress thing I'm going to wear tomorrow with a Grey cardigan sort of ish. I know it sounds ridiculous, but it's actually cute when you see it on. But since it's FREEZING here, should I wear leggings/footless tights or tights (opaque)?

I sort of want to wear my black Juicy Couture flats so black tights on black shoes seem a bit much, even if there IS a bit gold on my flats.

What do you think ? Everything is appreciated.

my vestdress ends just a few inches above my knee (mid of thigh)

opaque tights are the way to go. it's freezing remember? dont wear the flats. to make it more upper east side manhattan fashion, wear black pumps. not mary janes, not wedges. stilettos. black ones will make it look really classy. and to accesorize, a big black hobo bag will look nicely with it. =]
