How to wash multi-colored shirts (striped) ?

I have a shirt (well actually several) that is striped black and white and I have no idea how to wash it so that both colors retain their boldness and original apperance! How do you care for a shirt like this so that within one or two washes it doesn't need to be thrown away?

Look inside the shirt, it should tell you if they are washable. If not Buy a dry cleaning kit from the supermarket, and use that it comes with a bottle of stain remover, pads and a special bag to put them in you can use it up to 4 or 5 times they are usually about $7.00 Or wash them in cold water with a mild detergent in the washing machine. set the dial to permanent press or delicate.
