Allergy to nylon....what type of tights should I wear?

I have an allergy to Nylon. I suspected this for the last three years, and recently found out last year. That's when I decided to actually LOOK at what my PE shorts were made of. 100% Nylon. So I have been wearing replacement shorts ever since. I am a dancer and for ballet I have to wear leggings. Nylon tights make me itch and get a rash with speckled red dots. Some are much larger than others. The pink tights that I need for my ballet class come in these fabrics:
Lycra
Nylon
Spandex
Supplex
Spandex and Supplex are often mixed together... I have NO clue about fabrics and what they are made from. What material of tights should I get?

Spandex is known by various names. in the context of product quality regulation in Japan.
It is referred to as polyurethane. in many countries in Europe, it is commonly known as elastane fiber, which shares its word origins with the term"elastic".

Like rubber, spandex is an elastic material. It is in fact more elastic than rubber, and several times higher in tensile strenght. It is also lighter in weight.

Your BEST bet is to always stick with garments made from all cotton or at least a high content of cotten. If you absolutely cannot find tights like cotton/spandex, then you will have to test different tights and see if you can find one that doesn't bother your skin. OBVIOUSLY SUPPLEX is a nylon, so that one may give you a reaction.

You may want to inquire with a store manager at a dance attire shop if they have any knowledge of cotton or alternative tights that would work for you. Good luck!
