When you are looking to purchase t-shirts on the internet there are a lot of things you must consider before you can make the final buying decision. Many t-shirt shops you will find on the internet print only on American Apparel. If you do not like a tight fitting tee, then you should select one size larger than you normally would wear. American Apparel is a high end brand, and consequently you will generally pay a bit more to have a design printed on American Apparel clothing (Typical cost is $18-$25).

Popular brands of traditional style t-shirts include Hanes, Gildan, and Jerzees. These three brands all produce tees that conform closely to the same measurements. These shirts will be made of a heavier fabric (6.1oz orso ), they feel much rougher and thicker than American Apparel, and they are cut to fit much more square and boxy. Most of the top shirt retailers online, such as bustedtees, have discontinued printing designs on these brands. T-shirt elitists dictate which brands are fashionable, and brands like Gildan and Hanes have been deemed uncool. If you can find these brands, they will generally be slightly cheaper than American Apparel (typical cost is $12-$15).

Vintage or "junk food" style shirts are booming in popularity, but are not as easy to find as the other two types of shirts. Vintage shirts are constructed from extremely light, thin, silky-to-the-touch fabrics. They are supposed to look and feel like they have been through thousands of cycles of washing and wearing. They can fit tight like American Apparel, or loose like Hanes, but they will always be vey expensive shirts (Typical cost is $30+).
