All genres seem to have their "gods" or heroes - musicians held in high esteem.
Who would you consider to be gods/goddesses of Goth, and why?
You can answer either in your personal view, or what you think the general consensus is, or both.
Mine;
I think overall it has to be Andrew Eldritch; and I dare any of you to say different... grr! =] For Guitar, I've always admired Daniel Ash's skill. If we're allowing different types of Gothic Rock then for Deathrock; Rozz Williams would be considered a god too, in my books.

It would be hard to vote against Andrew as the god of Goth, even though he did try to renounce his "Goth-ness" in the same manner as Gerard attempting the same thing with emo.

Peter Murphy - The God
Siouxsie Sioux - The Goddess
I don't think any other female would come close. Also, Murphy's voice has all the classic Goth elements. He's always had the theatrics down perfectly.
