One for the ladies of a certain age.?

While sorting out clothes for a charity sale, I came across my 60's outfits. Everything was in good shape, so on an impulse I got dressed up in flared satin skirt, nylon top, wide shiny waist belt, stockings and high heels. I put on makeup to include pink lipstick and lip gloss and went clicking my heels all the way to and from the local shop which is literally just round the corner. I got such a kick from it all, but I was seen by neighbours who said I should 'act my age'. I am well past 70. Should I really 'act my age'?

You just did! You have the good sense and maturity to know how to have a good time, and you are comfortable with your "calender age". Just because you have lived on this Earth 70 + years does not mean you stop living. When we as girls loose our girlyness and can't be silly anymore, we rot and die.
