Plus size women needs fashion advice on buying pants and capri's?

As obviously stated, I am 5'6 and wear a size 18 in pants and capri's. I was looking to buy some new capri's this weekend and I saw a few I like. Should I buy capri's with an elastic waist or buy capri's with no elastic? I typically lean towards elastic waist pants and capri's however, I don't know if elastic waist are a fashion no-no for plus size women. Please give me some good fashion advice and explain why you are giving that advice. Would love to hear other plus size women who wants to look fashionable.

Elastic waists are a no-no for anyone!

Search everywhere to find pants that fit you just right, watch out for things being too big at the crotch or too tight around the hips or thighs.

Button pants and capris are always best because they look more put together and are more slimming.
