advice on buying thick black tights for fancy dress?
where is best place to get a pair of thick black tights for a fancy dress costume? I'm in UK.
Never bought anything like this before, so any tips on getting the right size (is it by waist or leg length) and how to make sure i get a pair that are very black? Would women's sizes fit an average-ish size man (I'm 5'11'' tall)
what denier is thick enough to look completely black (not see through)?
would wearing two pairs be better?
Just go to Primark and pick the highest denier you can. I know they do 60 denier which are really black. The higher denier you get the thicker they are. 20 or so are pretty see through- 40 are what people usually wear and 60 are black black. Often you can get woolen ones in the "fashion" tight bit of Primark too that might even be thicker. they are cheap too- £2.50 for a pack of three. You could always wear more than one pair! Also, id say go for a large or extra large- Primark stock both these sizes. Goodluck
