Casual Hosiery
Appropriate shoes to wear with skirts?

So I'll soon be starting a job in a school as an aide. I would like to occasionally wear skirts, but what kind of shoes would be appropriate to wear? I'm assuming sandals are out of the question (or at least bordering on too casual), which is what I normally wear with skirts. It has to be something comfortable, since I'll be traveling around the school and standing a lot, so I don't want something with heels. Normally I wear...loafers? (I think that's what they are) with my pants. Also should I wear um, tights with a skirt? I'm not sure that's what you call them when you're older...hosiery? Thanks for any help. I've never really had a dress code at a job before so I'm used to wearing tennis shoes, jeans, and a t-shirt or sweatshirt. This is all very new to me.

I usually wear flats with skirts.

Most flats are comfortable. Don't buy ones where the back is rough because that will cause blisters.
