Is it just in the south where black women are more trusted than black men?
I noticed a pattern. Black men are not looked at seriously where I'm from. Something happened to my brother today. My brother wanted to rent his first apartment. My brother is 21 and has a good paying job. But for some reason the landlord said that they were all out of apartments when in the paper, it said that apartments were available. Later on, my brother found out the same landlord rented an open apartment out to another person. The thing about my brother is that he does not look thuggish at all. He's more like a metro.
People in general don't take black men seriously. Regardless how we carry ourselves black women will have a easier access to housing, loans, jobs, and etc. This stigma about Black men being the thuggish, nihilistic, callous, and irresponsible type of human being. Are concocted by the media, and people who have some bad experiences with black men in their past.
In general black women are trusted more in society. Because women are perceived less of a threat.
