What can I wear with a black lace dress?

I have a black lace dress with 3/4 length sleeves, as I am very tall the dress looks very short on me and as it is stretchy material it tends to ride up alot, what can I wear underneath it i.e. leggings or tights for a casual look and also what sort of shoes would go with this look?
